This is the story of how the righteous member of the Triumvirate, mentioned in the previous story of Mu. Like the many others, he thought he was doomed forever, when the President carried out the experiment that would sink the continent of Mu. Somehow, he managed to survive, and climb ashore on another continent. He thought he would never be happy again. He was wrong.
Out on the continent, he discovered that humanity has prospered far into the 23rd century, as he had entered based on a time-warp. He found several tribes like Mu's civilization in their glory days, before the foolish choices of the Corrupt One. Now one of these tribes welcomed him into their midst, proclaiming him as an old member, destined to return. While the tribe was raw in their methods and their technology was perhaps not world-class, he quickly found that it out-stripped Mu's and had further potential to succeed. He thus stayed on, and continued working with the tribe to accelerate their potential, in their bid to challenge for supremacy and a return to their glory days. Most importantly, he found love and acceptance. Where he was once found cold and angry due to the betrayal of the Corrupt One, he forged strong friendships amongst the tribe, which shared his ideals and was free of such corrupt practices and self-destructive tendencies. Success at last, but the mark of his failure will forever stay on his heart, which will perhaps never be erased, for such is the price of emotional attachment.. i want this to last 8:38 AM |
